Caroline Masek, MA
Caroline’s Take on Treatment
“Patients often walk into my office feeling defeated, hopeless, and fearful there is something wrong that they will never be able to change. Many believe that seeking help means they aren’t strong, but it’s the opposite. It takes courage and strength to identify and address one’s own areas of weakness. The truth is that no one is perfect and everyone has something they can work on. From my personal and professional experience, I know that with treatment anyone can find ways to live to their fullest potential. Seeing a patient face their fears or worries, and be able acknowledge their growth is the greatest part of the journey. The joy and sense of accomplishment is no match for anything else.”
Approach to Therapy
Through her practice, Caroline has experienced that one of the most important catalysts for change is finding an encouraging environment that provides motivation and promotes growth. This is something she strives to do for every patient with her natural warmth and empathy, in combination with humor (We often hear laughter coming from her office!). These qualities make her successful in doing so. Another important catalyst for change is practicing the most effective treatment interventions that have shown to be successful. Caroline is vigilant on staying up-to-date with current, evidence-based treatments that have been proven to be the gold standard for anxiety and related disorders.
